The second novel is well underway and I can’t begin to explain how excited I am by the direction it’s taking.

But it would be nothing without the first. I’ve spent years reaching out to hundreds of agents, spilling my soul onto query letters that, while pleasantly received (from the few responses I’ve earned) have all, ultimately, been unwilling to gamble upon my work in a fast-fading sector of the market.

I understand the well-established e-book market is the new norm, and am willing to accept it’s necessity, but something in me yearns for that new-book smell coming from my own words. In the next few weeks, I’ll be holding a pre-order event for my printed, published novel in an attempt to offset the costs of self-publishing that have become unfortunately necessary. I’ll post links, send out ads, and do everything possible to raise as much as I can to make this dream a reality. No matter what, however, I will see it printed, will hold it in my hands, and will close out this part of my life triumphantly.
